Flashbang.Com Inc. was started as an offshoot of the Armiger Police Training Institute as independent companies dedicated to the development, production and distribution of realistic pyrotechnic training devices as well as the associated training in their use. With their extensive experience in the development of simulation training devices (Armiger was the original developer of SIMUNITION) they felt the need to fill the void created by the absence of an inexpensive training device to use in place of the operational diversionary devices during tactical training.

Flashbang.Com Inc. currently produces Conversion Devices for the Def Tec 25 reloadable distraction devices. We also modify expended Nico and CTS 7290 single use NFDD bodies to accept our Conversion Device, turning their expended bodies into reuseable training devices. Also available are dedicated training bodies to replicate the Omni-Blast, the Ensign-Bickford Mk141 Noise/Flash Diversionary Devices as well as the popular baseball style munitions. Dedicated training bodies are available for other devices as well. Call for details.

Flashbang.com, Inc. can provide blue training devices for easy identification during training. Metal bodies are finished with a resilient blue powder coat that withstands a lot of abuse. For some devices, and for most devices that are destroyed during use such as baseball style and consumable bodied devices, we produce a plastic body designed to approximate the dimensions of an operational device. Shown to the right is our $99.00 T&E Special. This kit includes a Conversion Device and 3 reloads, and is offered on a one time basis per year to an agency to test the concept. If, after testing the device, an agency elects to not keep it, they can simply return the entire device with the 3 fired reloads for a complete, no questions asked (well, maybe a couple ... we'd be curious to know why you didn't like it, but we're not gonna hassle ya!) refund less the cost of shipping. This is only offered once per year to agencies and is valid for a 45 day period from the date of shipment. |

To the left, the Conversion Kit is shown out of the box. The sample kit includes the 3 shown reloads, the conversion device and a knock-out rod. Non T&E kits are shipped without the reloads. Although the devices and reloads are NOT regulated by the BATF, the reloads are classified similarly to conventional blank ammunition for shipping purposes. In addition to shipping charges, a HAZMAT surcharge will be assessed for each package containing Dangerous Goods, however there is no FET payable, since the reloads are not considered ammunition. The HAZMAT fee in addition to charges for shipping and handling for ground service is typically $20.00. Air delivery is also possible, but requires additional handling and approximately a $30.00 HAZMAT fee. For this reason, it is recommended that agencies carefully consider their needs and order accordingly, since the HAZMAT and shipping charges are typically per package, regardless of size. |
This is the Reload. It is approximately the same size as a .357 Magnum cartridge. It has a report of approximately 160 dB and has a built-in pyrotechnic delay of approximately 1.5 seconds. This cartridge is classified as a 1.4S Explosive, and it's UN Shipping Classification Name and Number is UN0432 Article Pyrotechnic for Technical Purposes. BATF does not regulate this article except that it is to be sold only to professionals trained in the use of pyrotechnic devices. Despite the fact that BATF does not regulate this device, sales will be made to bonafide military and law enforcement agencies and training organizations only, and Flashbang.com Inc. reserves the right to refuse to sell to any organization at it's sole discretion. In the case of the Defense Technology TITAN device, there is a ring at the base of the cartridge which restricts the firing of this cartridge in a standard revolver. DO NOT REMOVE THIS RING UNTIL READY TO INSTALL THE RELOAD IN THE FIRING DEVICE. Use of this cartridge in any device other than the available Conversion Device is dangerous, and could lead to injury or death. NOTE!!!
